Defence Force Visit to Redlands

Each year Redlands invites members of the ADF to visit and discuss pathways and the myriad of job opportunities available for school leavers. Any student that missed the presentation can contact Ms Salier for a copy of the presentation or to discuss further. A special feature of the presentation was the Defence Force Gap Year – a ‘no strings attached’ opportunity to experience a real job within the defence force and get paid for doing so. Students currently in Yr 11 are advised to start applying now so as to maximise their application success.

University of Tasmania Know Your Options Event

To be held on Wednesday 13 November from 10.00am-4.00pm at the Sydney campus in Church St, Lilyfield. Students and parents are welcome to talk with advisers, understand the range of (unique) courses offered such as Marine and Antarctic Science and learn about scholarships and accommodation options. Register: here. Please seek permission from Mr Corcoran as this is a school day.

Summer Holidays Job Resources

The MyFuture website offers a useful tool for students looking at applying for a part time job and would like some resources to help. Students can always make an appointment to discuss creating a standout resume and how to find job opportunities with Ms Salier, just email or drop by her office.
