Theatresports House Competition

We congratulate all Houses on their fantastic effort in the 2019 Theatresports House Competition which was held in the Drama Studio on Wednesday evening. All teams performed with enthusiasm. The competition was extremely close and ended with McDouall being announced as the 2019 overall winners. Well done to all competitors for another entertaining show. Special thanks to our Entertainment Judge Mr Colyer.

Yr 8 Performance – Australian Landscapes

28 and 29 October

Yr 8 Drama students will present a variety of scenes from Australian playwrights interpreting some of the great pieces of Contemporary Australian theatre. Parents and friends are welcome to attend these performances in the Drama Studio at 6.30pm.

Yr 9 Performance – Headlines

11 and 12 November

Yr 9 Drama students will present Headlines, an evening of Docudrama pieces, devised by the students, exploring some of the controversial and unusual news stories of recent times. Parents and friends are welcome to attend these performances in the Drama Studio at 6.30pm.

Extra Subject Classes in Performing Arts

Students involved in after school classes in Film, Acting and Music Theatre will all be involved in soiree performances which will be held from 14 November with further details following in classes. Parents and friends are welcome to attend.

Student News

Congratulations to Asha Boswarva who has been nominated for an AACTA Award For Best Female New Talent for her performance in Lambs of God. Foxtel’s four part drama set a new benchmark, picking up a staggering 18 nominations in the TV categories of the AACTA awards.
