Blackmore’s Run
Congratulations to the Yr 12 students who celebrated another event in their final year of school by competing in the Blackmore’s Run last weekend. Chloe Woodward led the fundraising effort in support of Headspace and encouraged participation. Again this year, there was a commendable number of students, staff and other family members taking part. The passion and enthusiasm to support such a worthwhile and relevant organisation was evident in the planning for this event and in the joyous participation on the day.
Cambodia Preparation
Students travelling to Cambodia at the end of the year are nearing the end of their fundraising efforts. They have been challenged with finding creative ways to each contribute $750 towards two activities; one is a community project they will undertake during their trip and the other is the ongoing support we provide to M’Lop Tapang, a community operated, not-for-profit organisation that have been working with vulnerable children, youth, and families in the Sihanoukville region for more than 15 years. Students need to complete their fundraising so that we can make arrangements for the funds to be used between now and their trip to buy project materials.
Junior School Movie Event
One team of Yr 11 Cambodia students are organising an after school Movie and Sausage Sizzle for Yrs 3 – 6 students next Tuesday afternoon as a fundraiser. You and your child are invited to come along, with all proceeds raised going towards the community project or to support our friends at M’Lop Tapang.
The event will be supervised by Secondary School teachers and senior students but parents are welcome to attend. Teachers and students will also make arrangements to collect students from the Junior Campus on the afternoon of the event and walk them to the Senior Campus.

Junior School Maths and Reading Clubs
As this term comes to an end, it is wonderful to hear about the efforts of our Secondary School volunteers helping in the Junior School Maths and Reading Clubs. These mentors have been visiting the Junior School every week to work with their buddy. They have developed positive, supportive relationships with their buddies and with the guidance of the Junior School teachers they have helped to build their buddies’ confidence through lots of practice activities, guidance and encouragement. Our senior mentors have also grown from the experience, learning about empathy and perseverance.
