Student Led Assembly 

Thank you to our Term 3 Yr 8 Student Assembly Committee: Sahara Ali, Sabrina Blasco, Daniel Close,Taya Garner, Lucy Horton, Sarah Kumpulainen, Jessica Marshall, Charlotte Scamps, Alexander Scotting and Harry Wilkes who worked hard planning and presenting a thoroughly original, entertaining and engaging assembly focusing on Resilience. Highlights included:

  • ‘Storytime with Harry’ where Harry delivered a creative writing reading on the implications of not being resilient.
  • Sarah shared a vivid analogy on resilience.
  • Lucy and Daniel hosted a hilarious debate on how one can incorporate resilience into everyday life.
  • Jess performed a Dr Phil style overview of her interpretation of resilience.
  • Taya, Lucy, Sabrina and Daniel hosted ‘Tonight in the Heights’ a talk show about resilience..

ISA Athletics

Well done to Bronte Backhouse, Maddie Barwise, Lachlan Binnekamp, Sam Chubb, Catarina Croll, Sebastian Griffith, Oliver Noakes and Marli Prado who competed in the 2019 ISA Athletics Carnival this week. All students are congratulated on their involvement at training, the Invitational Athletics Carnivals and the ISA Carnival. 

Snowsports Nationals

Despite blizzard conditions and strong competition the Redlands team performance was outstanding last week. The support of parents and staff enabled our students to weather the storm and the adversity of the conditions. Noteable Yr 8 results:

Yr 12 Legacy Gift 

The Yr 12 Legacy Gift team is continuing their fundraising efforts by hosting a lunchtime sausage sizzle and drinks stall on Thursday 19 September, available to all Secondary School students. Please ensure your child brings money to School next Thursday if they wish to purchase a BBQ lunch.

Extra Subject and Co-curricular at Redlands

Redlands has an exciting array of Extra Subject and Co-curricular activities on offer. Trying new activities may lead to uncovering a new hidden interest and helps develop the skills of risk-taking and spontaneity.
