Year 12
House Morning Teas
Yr 12 students have been thoroughly enjoying morning teas with their respective House Mentors in the past two weeks. Students have taken time to relax, enjoy house colour-decorated cakes, and share memories of fun times at Carnivals, Gala Arts and other House events. They also took this opportunity to give thanks to their Tutors for their guidance and support over the past years.
Student Achievements
Yr 12s are to be congratulated for their continued positive behaviour, punctuality to school and wearing their uniform with pride. Most students have tried to do their best in their subjects and sometimes met with failure and disappointment. They have continued to pick themselves up and continue to show grit and persistence to achieve their best result. They deserve to be congratulated and I will do my best to pass on to them my personal praise in these final weeks.
During the ISA Athletics Carnival held earlier this week, the Senior Men’s 4 x 100m team – Antonio Bonandi Penna Coelho, Wilf McKie, Cameron Pascoe and Ellis Teudt triumphed the Senior Boys relay, well ahead of their rival school teams. Congratulations also goes to Lindsay McNeil, who won the U18 3000m. What a fantastic way to finish their last ISA Carnival. Well done!
Year 12 Final Week Events Parent Permission
At our Year Assembly on Tuesday, students received details about Week 10 Activities. The final week will be a busy, fun filled week, and students are encouraged to get as much rest as possible between each event. All parents are reminded about giving your permission on Redlands Pulse for your child to attend these events.
Sport Colours Award Presentation
At our Year Meeting held earlier this week, Mr Simon Colyer, Dean of Activities, presented the Full Colours, Half Colours and Special Accomplishments awards to the Yr 12s. These awards are a testimonial of the students who demonstrated commitment to a Sport with dedication, consistent efforts, skill sportsmanship and achievement in the past few years.
Students are reminded to hand in their blazers to the Uniform Shop by Friday 13 September. This will ensure the blazers will be ready to be collected in time for the Final Week, as well as the Valedictory Dinner.
