Congratulations to Redlands students at FIS competitions in Perisher and Mt Buller this past week as they prepare to represent their school at the National Championships.
George Murphy: Australian National Mogul Championships U20 Juniors – 2nd, ABOM Mogul Challenge U20 Juniors – 3rd, Open Men’s – 8th
George skied against Olympic Medalists Mikael Kingsbury from Canada, Australia’s Matt Graham and world number three Ben Cavet from France on the famous Toppas Run at Blue Cow.
The ABOM Mogul Challenge at Mt Buller was under lights on Saturday night. George qualified in 8th place then won his dual mogul heat, however was defeated in the quarter finals by Matt Graham. A great experience for George.
Over the coming week in Mt Buller, George will be aiming to defend his National Interschools Mogul Title for the fifth consecutive year, a feat that has not been done since Matt Graham in 2011. George will be leading the Redlands Div 2 Boys team skiing alongside Harrison Fung and Zeke Weir.

News from the National Championships
The Redlands Team arrived at Mt Buller late Monday night and were straight into training Tuesday morning. We have held IB exams for five Yr 11 students since arriving. There are 42 students representing Redlands over the next five days with 94 entries and 37 teams. Full results will be available at Interschools 2019
Friends of Snowsports
The AGM will be on 16 September at 6.00pm in H1.2. All Snowsports parents are welcome. Please come along to join the committee in 2020 or just meet the members and vote for new positions. Meetings are held once a month during winter term.
All Snowsports families and competitors are invited to celebrate another fantastic season by attending the Annual Snowsports Presentation on Friday 27 September at the Cammeray Golf Club.
