Pop-Up Playground
Transition Gold were kindly invited by Kindergarten Red and Yellow to build a pop-up playground in the Piazza. Whilst the idea of a playground being constructed and then taken down was perplexing to some students, they relished in the fun of building their own playground using loose parts: big boxes, pipes, string, tyres, guttering and sticks. When they had finished, each group provided an explanation of their creation. Loose parts play supports invention, divergent thinking, problem solving and offers a sense of wonder to children. The versatility of these materials provides children with virtually endless ways to create. Access to a variety of transient materials during play and exploration aids in the development of creative thinking, engineering and problem solving.
Redlands Uniform
All students attending Redlands, including Redlands House, are expected to wear the appropriate school uniform. The full school uniform also includes suitably styled hair, conservative, off the collar and ears for boys and if below the collar, tied up with a navy ribbon for girls. Adhering to these requirements assists in a hygienic and safe environment for staff and students to learn together. Please talk to your child’s teacher if you have any questions pertaining to this.
Vacation Care
If you would like your child to attend the October Vacation Care program, please visit Flexischools and make a booking using the Redlands House Vacation Care icon, bookings will remain open until 24 September, 5.00pm. All calendars, information pertaining to activities and requirements can be found on the Flexischools website.
