Student Achievements
This week Amber Hosker performed in both the Restricted Jazz and the Song and Dance sections at the Energy Express Eisteddfod and came second in the Song and Dance scoring 88 points. Well done Amber!
RAD Exam Results
Congratulations to the following students all attaining Distinction in their recent RAD exams: Kyle Banfield, Emma Noes, Alissa Price, Jennifer Psaroulis, Summer Smythe, Ashley Stapleton and Lara Stanbridge. Well done to all the students! A huge thank you to their teachers Miss Samantha, Miss Kate, Miss Julie and Miss Maria who worked so hard to get the students these excellent results.

Friends of Ballet and Dance Awards Night – Buy Your Tickets Now!
The Ballet and Dance Awards Dinner will be held on 19 September at Manly Golf Club. All students in Yrs 7-12 have been invited to attend. Awards (Yrs 8-11) and Certificates (all Yr 7) will be announced at the dinner and special guests will join us. Let us know if you missed the invitation and we’ll send it to you.

Raffle
The FOBD Committee will be organising a raffle for the Awards Dinner on 19 September. We are asking for donations big or small (we will package small items together). Examples are: Bloch vouchers, massage vouchers, luxury food items etc. We kindly request that items do not exceed $200 in value. Donations can be left with Eva or Karen in the Dance office.

Sydney Eisteddfod Dance Finals- Sydney Opera House
Congratulations to the Junior Jazz performance group that has been asked to perform & compete at this prestigious event on Sunday 25th August together with other groups that came first in their sections. An email has been sent to all in the group. Tickets are available from the Dance office.
RAD Exams
The RAD Junior Grades and Senior IF exams are scheduled for 25, 26 and 27 August. Email has now gone out to all exam candidates’ parent/carers. Contact the office if you have not received the time/day for the student exam time. The times are also posted on the noticeboard

Curriculum Dance
Showcase
Congratulations to the students in Yrs 11 and 12 HSC and IB for their excellent performances at the Curriculum Dance Showcase last week. This Showcase featured self-choreographed works by our outgoing Yr 12 students as part of their studies for their HSC and IB as well as teacher choreographed performance works. The Yr 11 students danced performance and composition works from their classes, allowing an insight into what occurs within Curriculum Dance. Thank you to all the student dancers for their commitment to learning and performing the Yr 12 works and thank you to all the family and friends who attended. It was a great evening showcasing all our talented students.
For Yr 12 this was the culmination of their last two years of study. We thank them for their time and dedication to Dance throughout their Secondary school years. The HSC students will have their final practical examination on Friday 23 August and the IB students will be submitting all of their works in October. We wish them all the best for the final examinations and whatever path they choose beyond school.
