Year 12
Term 3
Welcome back to Term 3, the final term of Yr 12’s Secondary schooling. I hope that everyone was able to take time to regenerate and relax over this recent term break. Term 3 is very busy with both the trial examinations and the graduation cermonies. We would like to remind them of the importance of staying organised and prepared for classes, important dates and events. Students in Design and Technology, Drama, Music, Dance and Visual Arts might be more stressed than some others this term as they are required to complete their major works, which are all due this term. Students are encouraged to seek help from their teachers, Tutors and Year Advisors if they experience any challenges. We also wish all students the very best for their HSC and IB Trial examinations.
Yr 12 Welcome Back Morning Tea
On the last day of Term 2, students and staff attended the Yr 12 Formal. As I am sure that you will all agree, it was a fabulous night. Everyone looked stunning and enjoyed a great time with their friends. Venue and security staff spoke very highly of our students, commending them as one of the most well-behaved Year Groups they have worked with. In recognition for the success of this memorable event, Mr Corcoran organised a morning tea for all Yr 12s on the first day back of term. His kind gesture served as a great means to boost student morale and will definitely help them reach the finishing line with strong motivation and efforts.
Legacy Gift
Yr 12 continued their fundraising work for their Legacy Gift throughout the holidays. A big thank you to all the students who volunteered to participate in the ‘best beard and big hair competition”, which helped to raise more than $400. Well done! We would also like to thank Mr Corcoran for growing an impressive beard to support this initiative.
Yr 12 HSC English Workshop
Thank you to Dr Regis for leading an English workshop during Tutor Time today in the Library. The session focused on the Yr 12 Common Module, Texts and Human Experiences. Her rich teaching/marking experiences and good sense humour were appreciated by all the attending students. The workshop will continue on next Thursday.
