HICES Netball Champions 2019

Our Yr 6 A Netball team headed out to Hills Grammar last Thursday to take on the 16 other schools at the HICES Netball Championships. Despite going down in the early pool round match, our girls fought back to make the Semi Finals where they reversed their earlier loss against Hills Grammar. They then took on Arndell College in the Grand Final where they battled out a tense match winning in a nail biting finish – crowned as HICES Champs for 2019 and continuing a long history of success at this championship. Stella Simpson-Morgan, Mischa Fabig and Ava Mills were all selected to represent the HICES Association at the NSWCIS Primary Netball Championships next term.

Redlands Inaugural Sports Luncheon

A huge thank you to the Junior School parents who attended the Sports Luncheon last Friday. It was a wonderful event, which showcased some successful past Redlands athletes. The messages from our guest speakers were tremendously refreshing and it was great to hear their stories of persistence, perseverance and hard work as the most important factors in their sporting success. These are all messages we still actively promote in each and every training session.

Second Hand AFL Kit

Next week, our Yr 10 students are heading off to Arnhem Land on a Service trip and the students are hoping to take any AFL gear that families may have that they could pass on to the Aboriginal community who they will spend time with. Any contributions would be gratefully received by the group and can be dropped off at Junior School reception on the last day of term for the Yr 10 students to collect.
