Debating

ISDA Competition: Congratulations to the Senior A, Senior B, Yr 9, Yr 8 and Primary A teams who all won against St Luke’s last Friday. We were a few students short due to the musical but we had very good results overall.

That was the last debate of the term. ISDA will resume Term 2 Week 1 which will be the final round of the round robin stage. Yr 9 has a postponed debate against Monte which will be held on Friday 10 May (Term 2 Week 2.)

Changes to ISDA Timings

We have just been intimated about changes to ISDA timings. The timings below are the new times which will have students finishing earlier than they did last year. The new timings will be started from the next round (Term 2 Week 1) This has implications on coaching times which will be communicated to students next term.

FED Competition: We have an away debate against Sydney Boys High School this Friday. Please refer to an email from me with details about the venue. The bus will leave the school at 3.45pm with Mr Ockenden accompanying the students.

Please remember to email me first thing in the morning if you are away sick on Fridays and if possible, email your team members too.

Debating Club

It is not too late to join Debating Club , which runs on a Wednesday afternoon and is also conducted by Masters Academy. More information on how to register for this is here. Based on interest we are looking into the possibility of running an extra day/timeslot. Register interest with Masters Academy here to register your preferences.
