Community Update
Excitement continues to build for our highly anticipated Festival of Redlands that will take place on Saturday 19 October on our Junior Campus. Our Festival of Redlands will shine a light on 140 years of the School, highlighting our rich and diverse culture, growth, talent and community. From 1-5pm, the Festival will showcase Performing Arts, Sports, Academics, Visual Arts, Innovative Design and Outdoor Education and feature an international food extravaganza and a House Challenge. More information can be found in the RPFA section of Note Day, along with information on the wide range of other parent and carer events that continue to connect our community.
Redlands is proud to be part of Lifeblood Teams, the group donation program from Australian Red Cross Lifeblood. Aside from saving lives through blood donation, Lifeblood Teams is about being part of something bigger than yourself. It’s a unique opportunity for all of us to band together and give something more powerful than money. Donated blood can be used to help people in all sorts of life-giving ways. The need is constant and the person receiving it could be fighting cancer or going through a difficult pregnancy, or they could be someone who relies on regular transfusions to stay healthy — or even, stay alive. Now that’s something worth uniting for! There’s nothing like knowing you’ve genuinely helped someone, and this can be achieved by registering to join the Redlands School Lifeblood Team here.
The Redlands Parents’ Prayer Group provides our current parent community with the opportunity to come together in prayer. We invite you to join our Chaplains and Principal for our Term 3 gathering on Tuesday 17 September from 5.30 to 6.30pm in the Staff Room (2nd Floor) in the Liggins Building on the Senior Campus. Light refreshments will be provided, during an informal time of fellowship and prayer. Please extend this invitation to any other parents or families you think would appreciate being included.
A reminder that clean pre-loved uniforms can be purchased at the Second Uniform Sale that will take place tomorrow. This initiative enables us to recycle pre-loved uniforms back into the community whilst raising valuable funds for our means-tested Scholarship Fund. Further details can again be found in the RPFA section of today’s Note Day.
Thank you for your continued guidance and support and as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team, or to me directly, should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
