Senior Piano Competition
On Friday night last week, the Junior and Senior Piano Competitions were hosted in Edwards Auditorium and adjudicated by concert pianist and composer Daniel Rojas. In this special event for auditioned pianists, students were able to perform their pieces that they had worked on for many months. The standard of music performance was very high, with the adjudicator finding each division very difficult to award.
Congratulations to all performers, and particularly Yr 12 student Jiaqi (Ahnu) Guan, who was the overall winner for the Senior Piano Competition.

Pockets
Alongside the introduction of the new uniform we have been looking at the best way to recognise student participation in sport and cocurricular activities. This is through Merit Certificates, Pockets and Colours. We’ve been working to update and simplify the process for awarding Pockets and Colours while ensuring that awards recognise genuine commitment to activities over a number of years. As an outward recognition of a students’ contribution to the life of the School they are something to strive for. An updated set of guidelines can be seen here.
