Australian Ballet School for George Dover

A huge achievement for George Dover Year 9, who has just found out that he has been accepted into the Australian Ballet School for 2025. This is an incredible opportunity for George and the Academy is extremely proud of him. We would also like to send thanks to our Academy teachers who have supported George on his dance journey, especially Fabio Lo Giudice, who heads up our Boys Ballet program. Well done, George…. You did it!!!!

Book your Tickets for The Dance Awards 2024!!!

Our 2024 Dance Awards event is just around the corner.

This is a dance community event, and we invite all senior dancers and parents to come and enjoy festivities. Teachers have nominated students from the entire cohort so there is the possibility of an award even if you haven’t been competing at the Eisteddfods.

Our curriculum dancers from Year 11 and Year 12 will be performing, as well as Academy performance groups. There will be a spot of bush dancing, and The Sydney Dance Company PPY will showcase an excerpt from one of the company’s incredible repertoire. We will also hear from alumnae India Patten (Lathey) – Captain of Dance 2000, Veronica Alexander (Koca) – RL 2000 and Ariane Beeston (Solomons) – RL 2021. And of course we bid farewell our Year 12 students.

Dance Awards Tickets

All students must have bought a ticket, even if they are dancing. Students will be allocated seating in year groups, will be provided with a delicious variety of picnic food and can order hot chocolates etc. from the on-site baristas.

Absent or Away from Class

If your child is sick or will miss their dance class then please complete the RDA Absent from Class form – CLICK HERE

A reminder that for private lessons, you need to contact your private lesson teacher and cc the Dance Department. 24 hours notice is required for any cancellations. Any private lesson missed with less than 24 hours notice will be charged as a received lesson. Note: for private lessons please do not complete the RDA Absent from Class form.
