This past week has started several “lasts” for our 2024 Cohort. The student’s last Gala Arts was last Friday and this week started the many Yr 12 showcases to highlight the hours of work students have devoted to their various areas. Classes have worked tirelessly with many of their projects spanning the two years of the IB or HSC course. While these have been emotional journeys for our young adults, there are many feelings of relief, pride and anxiousness that will continue throughout this term and we are all along for the ride as they navigate these important moments of recognition and celebration.

Friday Jeans for Genes
This year’s Jeans for Genes Day will be taking place Week 2 Friday 2 August! This event is all about supporting medical research and raising funds for children and families living with genetic disorders.
Did you know 1 in 20 children faces a birth defect or genetic disease? That’s around 1 per class!
On Friday Week 2, students can come to school in their favourite pair of jeans or denim clothing, as well as the colour blue. For the privilege of dressing down, a gold coin donation will be collected during Tutor. Students may also wish to purchase a blue ribbon before school for $2, or buy a bake sale item in the Liggins Quad at recess.
