Calling all Artists and Creative Minds!
The Prep School will be supporting the Festival of Redlands on 19 October by producing spectacular artworks that will be auctioned off on the day. To assist us do this we are putting the call out to any parents or friends who may be able to help us with our class creations. At this early stage of planning, we are hoping to create the class artworks at the start of the term on a Prep ‘art afternoon’.
If you or someone you know might be able to help us with ideas, resources or the actual creation of these pieces, please let me know via email. Thanking everyone in advance.
School Start Time
Parents are reminded that school begins at 8.20am with attendance taken by 8.30am. We have been reviewing the late arrival numbers and unfortunately the numbers have grown quite substantially of late. Of course, there are times when lateness is unavoidable and this is understandable, but there continues to be students who consistently walking through the doors after 8.30am telling us that they have slept in or that they just couldn’t get ready in time.
Can I please encourage families who may be struggling to get to school by 8.20am to please have a conversation with me or one of the counsellors perhaps for some tips or tricks to getting to school on time!
Sadly, children who are consistently late, miss out on key learning time and can feel embarrassed when entering the classroom late. Thank you for your assistance.
How We Celebrate Birthdays P-6
There is nothing more exciting than celebrating a birthday on a school day for our preppies. Birthday capes are worn with pride, certificates are given, and birthday pencils presented. Our birthday students are made to feel very special. Please remember that cakes, cupcakes or any other birthday foods are not to be shared, sent or delivered to school or OOSH please.

Redlands Community Concert at Bupa Aged Care Mosman 16 June
17 Redlands students from Year 2 to Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed performing at Bupa Aged Care, Mosman on Sunday 16 June. They brought enjoyment to the residents with singing, ballet, guitar, violin, viola, cello and piano. Despite technical glitches with the venue’s audio system, Redlands students demonstrated high quality performance and excellent stage etiquette. The gorgeous Junior Ballet danced to near silent music with great musicality and adaptability, so did the Choir which sang amazingly well with little music accompaniment.
Special thanks to Claire Wallis, Administrator of the Redlands Dance Academy who gave up weekend time to help out, and to Anne Marie, Redlands former strings teacher who came to provide piano accompaniment and helped tuning instruments.
A lovely afternoon with our students truly representing Redlands’ sense of sharing, giving, and community.
