Open Rehearsal: Junior Concert Band

We were delighted to have over 40 parents, carers and friends attend an open rehearsal for Junior Concert Band this morning. It’s always a gift when we see our young musicians in action, demonstrating what they’ve been learning all term and how they rehearse to get even better! 

A link to view the open rehearsal will be available in the weeks to come. A big thank you to Mr Xu, Mr Peate and all music staff for making this opportunity happen! 

Senior Music Festival – Final ticket release!

We are so excited to see tickets selling fast for the Senior Music Festival with hundreds gone within hours of the link being shared!  The last 250 seats have just been made available in the Dress Circle and we encourage our community to jump on the website to book tickets sooner than later to avoid disappointment.

A prize for the highest ticket sales is on offer again to a student in our Cocurricular Music program, so if you have a particular musician you would like to win, ask them their STUDENT NUMBER and add this 6-digit code under ‘Questionnaires’ when you purchase tickets.

SMF Letter

Students, Parents and Carers are asked to carefully read the SMF Letter sent out via email this week for all details relating to production week rehearsals. We are asking that all students prioritise these activities over their other commitments during this week.

SMF Whole Cast Rehearsal – Next Sunday 16/6

As advised via the SMF Letter, and via previous Note Day issues in our events calendar, all members of the Senior Cocurricular Music program are rehearsing next Sunday between 9.45am – 2.45pm at Redlands.  Students are reminded to wear their Festival t-shirts and to bring their instrument, scores, a packed lunch and snacks. 

As with the long days at the Concourse, we also recommend students bring a book or some quiet activities should they find themselves with downtime in between their calls.

Everyone will be dismissed for collection at the Gerard St gates at 2.45pm, with the exception of the Yr 12 featured students who will rehearse till 4pm. Let’s make some music!

Studio Concerts

It’s been a delight to hear the wonderful performances coming from our rooms at lunchtime, where our students are showcasing their performing skills in Studio Concerts! These informal concert opportunities are an opportunity for both our students to perform and parents, carers and friends to check in with their children’s musical learning!  We’ve only got a couple more tomorrow; come along and see our shine as performers.
