End of Year Redlands Ballet Concert

We are very excited to announce that this year’s Ballet presented by Redlands Ballet and Dance Academy is The Nutcracker!

A classical ballet in two acts, originally choreographed by Lev Ivanov, libretto by Marius Petipa, after E.T.A. Hoffman and music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, the ballet premiered in 1892 in St Petersburg. This fairy tale ballet was first seen in the west in London during 1934, although did not begin to achieve its great popularity until the mid 1950s. Thanks to a supremely melodic score, together with a celebration of childhood imagination, the magical world of The Nutcracker remains a ballet chosen as a first one for children.
