Music

Next week in Music is a massive week across both of our campuses; Battle of the Bands, Strings Open Lessons, the Junior Choir Opera Performance and Red Factor, to just name a few! Read below about the amazing opportunities have coming up.

We’re also busy preparing for our upcoming ANZAC Day Services – we are delighted that we have been asked to accompany the Anzac Day Dawn Service at George’s Heights, Mosman on Anzac Day, and encourage our community to come see our Combined Concert Bands support this important service. See the picture above of our massed rehearsals of over 150 students – it’s going to be something quite special for our students and our community!

It’s also a great chance to meet and connect with our dedicated Strings tutors. We invite Year 2 parents along to this occasion, with details as follows:

Date: Monday 8 April (Week 11)

Junior Choir performance of Mulga Bill’s Bicycle with Musgrove Opera – next Tuesday

Junior Choir with its 121 choristers has an exciting opportunity to participate with Musgrove Opera’s performance of Mulga Bill’s Bicycle and will be joined by over 180 young singers from schools including Kambala, The Kings School, John Colet School and Ascham School as the culmination of the 2024 Children’s Opera Project. The young singers fill the exciting surrounds of The Concourse Concert Hall in Chatswood alongside a stellar cast led by soprano, Brianna Louwen on Tuesday 9 April.

We can’t wait to see our Junior Choir enjoy this amazing performance opportunity!
