Congratulations to all those who were involved in Legally Blonde, a huge success!!!
Isobel Anderson Awards 2024
Congratulations also to Irene Kim who is through to the finals of the Isobel Anderson Awards. Irene is one of 12 chosen from 105 NSW Intermediate Foundation students to perform at the Seymour Centre on 7 April.
Giselle in Tokyo
Last week Ms Revie was given the opportunity to perform in the ballet Giselle with Tetsuya Kumakawa’s “K Ballet Company” in Tokyo. She portrayed the character of Berthe (Giselle’s Mother) who admonishes her daughter for dancing so much due to her weak heart, and tells the legend of the Wilis, the ghosts of unmarried women who die after being betrayed by their lovers and take revenge in the night by dancing men to death by exhaustion. All very dramatic as you can see from the photos.
Hairspray
Our Year 4/5 Jazz dancers enjoyed dancing their performance piece Hairspray as one of 16 performance acts celebrating Harmony Week at an amazing multicultural concert on Saturday 23 March at Cammeraygal High School, Crows Nest.
It was a wonderful experience for the children who were very proud to represent Redlands at this event.
Thank you to Claire Wallis, Maddy Bowyer and Vanessa Weyland-Smith who all worked hard to make it happen, and also to the wonderful parents who made sure the students were in the right place at the right time, looking amazing!!!!
Term 1 Class Watching

Tickets for the Australian Ballet’s Carmen
The Academy have tickets for the Australian Ballet’s final dress rehearsal of Johan Inger’s award-winning production of Carmen at the Sydney Opera House on Tuesday 9 April at 7pm. |
