Junior Sport
Athletics Pre-Season
In a first of its kind format for Junior School last week we had Week 1 of our 4 week Athletics Pre-Season program at Rotary Park Athletics track. The students involved are all from our Summer Rep Sports program who finished their regular season last Saturday. Every student worked extremely hard competing in as many events as they could with their coach and we were also able to get times for the 200m, 400m and 800m events so they can track their progress over the next few weeks. Credit to the students, they were engaged, enthusiastic and gave it their all. Please enjoy the short video I put together from footage I was able to capture yesterday.
Winter Sport Trials
Well done to all our students who attended the first of two compulsory trials for our Term 2 Winter Representative Sport Programs. We had mixed Football, Rugby, Netball and Hockey on site and was great to see the students continue to show their enthusiasm for school sport despite many of them being relatively new to the sports on offer.
CIS Swimming
Congratulations to the following Junior School swimmers who represented HICES and Redlands at the CIS Swimming Championships this week. We look forward to hearing of your results.

Redlands Pulse Orientation and Navigation Video
Our intranet, Redlands Pulse, is the first port of call for all Junior School Sport related enquiries. A video has been produced to show you how to navigate through Pulse. You can view this short video here.
Redlands Pulse
The Junior School Sport pages on Redlands Pulse will continue to be the ‘source of truth’ for all information relating to sport this term. I am asking that if parents have an enquiry relating to sport that your first port of call will be the Junior School Sport section of Redlands Pulse.
Sport Information Booklet
For all Sport information regarding what sports we offer when, how to navigate our documents, as well as information on Uniforms and Carnivals please refer to our Parent Information Booklet on Pulse.

Representative Sports – Saturday Morning Match Wear
Just a reminder for all families who represent Redlands in Saturday sport only Redlands Sports Uniforms and match day kit is to be worn. Each family should own either a school tracksuit and or a fleece that they can wear over the top of their playing kit if they are cold. If your child feels the cold they may play in their fleece if their match allows it.
Any incorrect item will now be confiscated as all students have received the same message.
Paul Kelly Cup AFL Yr 5 & 6 Students
Thank you to those families who have completed the expression of interest for the AFL PKC. Named in honour of Sydney Swans legend and New South Wales footballer Paul Kelly, the cup is the Premier primary school AFL competition in the state. Due to the level of interest we will now be entering 1 boys team and 1 girls team in the competitive competition which is a higher division than the ‘participation division’.
