Community Update
It has been lovely to see and hear how our community has been connecting through the first term of school. The Redlands Parents and Friends Association (RPFA), Parent Contact Groups (PCGs) and Friends of Groups (FoGs) have all been actively engaged in bringing our various groups together both socially and operationally through year and cocurricular group events and activities.
We welcomed more than 200 parents, grandparents, students and carers onto the Junior Campus early this week for our Junior School Open Morning. Students from Year 6 and Year 2, supported by our leadership team, hosted small group tours answering questions and providing a wonderful insight into life at Redlands for our guests. Redlands reputation as a leading school of choice for families both nationally and internationally continues to grow. Through personalising each student’s development and growth, our students leave school truly life ready and prepared to adapt, create and thrive.
Redlands cultural diversity is one of our greatest strengths and is at the heart of who we are. We are proud of our warm, diverse and inclusive school community. Our School is enriched by those from interstate and overseas, with more than 50 countries represented in our student cohort. This week the School celebrated Harmony Week, an annual event that encourages people to share the message that ‘everyone belongs’. Our Prep School kicked off their Harmony Week activities in a splash of orange, celebrating our School’s rich cultural diversity with a wide range of activities, learning experiences, classroom conversations and events.
A reminder that our community are invited to attend an Easter reflection, prayer and connection on Wednesday 27 March from 7.30am at St Peter’s Church, Cremorne. A light breakfast will be provided and I am reliably informed that Easter eggs may also be available for tasting.
I remain grateful for the continued guidance and support our community provides and, as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly or the wider Community Engagement team should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
