Tickets will be on sale tomorrow morning (Friday 22 February) at 9am for the Redlands Musical for 2019 and will be available directly from The Concourse box office. Redlands will be presenting Strictly Ballroom from 28-30 March at 6.30pm in the Concourse Theatre. Adapted from Baz Luhrmann’s beloved and award-winning film, Strictly Ballroom has been transformed into a dazzling stage musical. The show features songs from the hit 1992 film including Love is in the Air, Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps and Time After Time, as well as new songs from acclaimed artists and composers such as Sia and Eddie Perfect. With show stopping costumes, sizzling dance and classic hits, Strictly Ballroom will warm your heart and have you dancing in your seats!
Gala Arts
This year’s Gala Arts performance will take place on Friday 31 May in the Concert Hall at The Concourse in Chatswood. Auditions are this term. Audition application forms and information from the student meeting are available here. Applications close 27 February at 3.30pm. Late applications for an audition will not be accepted.
The Shakespeare Carnival
Sport for Jove Theatre is returning with The Shakespeare Carnival, for 2019. Right across NSW, high school students have the chance to tread the boards and creatively engage with Shakespeare’s works on the stage as actors, dancers, musicians and designers. Redlands Shakespeare Carnival will be held on 20 March at 6.30pm in the Drama Studio.
Student News
Congratulations to Tess Haubrich, Arts Captain 2007, who is currently featuring in a leading role in Channel Nine’s new series Bad Mothers. Tess has also recently starred in the ABC series Pine Gap.
