Round Square Postcard – International Women Day 6 March
Reflection from Amynta Field
The Round Square seminar was an amazing opportunity to broaden our perspectives and discuss ideas surrounding inclusion of women as a central theme of this year’s International Women’s Day. Some of the key points that were discussed were how we can promote equality within different demographics of girls and women and encourage discussion of issues surrounding these topics. I think that a key theme that was identified was that inclusion alone is not enough to truly make a difference, and there is a need to assist women and girls by providing equal opportunities and support. Another common idea was the importance of education in producing a platform for independence and equal opportunity. It was incredible to hear from so many people our age from different backgrounds, schools and countries, and develop greater insight into how and why we should focus on inclusion.
