Swimming Carnival

The Secondary School Swimming Carnival will be held next Tuesday 19 February at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. This is a compulsory school event that contributes to House and School spirit. As this event is held off-site, it is a requirement that all parents and carers login to Redlands Pulse and grant online permission by Monday 18 February. If you are having difficulty accessing Redlands Pulse, please follow this link for further instructions and trouble shooting. A full Swimming Carnival Program including all transport, uniform, rules and event details is attached to the event in Redlands Pulse. Please carefully familiarise yourself with this information, particularly regarding correct attire and traveling to/from the venue.

Mobile Phone Usage

Students have been reminded of our Technology and Mobile Phone Policy (Student Planner, p27). Yr 8 students are aware that if they are using their mobile phone without permission this will be removed and stored in the Secondary School Office for the day, available for collection at 3.20pm. Should a student’s phone be confiscated for a second time, the student will need hand this into the Secondary School Office each morning for five days. The phone will be stored securely and can be collected each afternoon.

Personal Organisation at Home

Tutors and teachers have been assisting students with their personal organisation at school. Home organisation is also key in supporting the development of effective skills in the classroom. The Study Skills Handbook (username: redlands | password: 68results) provides useful information on establishing effective study environments and managing organisation and filing at home.

School Photographs

If you ordered a sibling photograph, please note that they will take place on Wednesday 13 March. If your child was absent on the day of photographs, their individual photo can be taken on this day in Redlands Hall. Advanced Life are also offering a 10 day grace period for parents and carers who forgot to order school photographs online. A range of packages are available and orders can be made through Advanced Life with the following code NWL 4NR ETY.
