Head of Junior School

A big thank you to parents and cares for attending our Meet the Teacher sessions last week. I trust the meetings were informative and useful. One area that might have been raised is that this year we are implementing the revised NSW English and Maths Curriculum. As there is a shift in approach, especially with the Maths Curriculum we will be holding an information session for parents of Junior School students. This seminar aims to familiarise parents with the content changes and instructional approaches adopted in these subjects.

Parents can reserve a space via the booking link below:

  • Date:  Tuesday 27 February
  • Venue:  Arnold Library (Junior School)
  • Time:  8:30-9:45am

Harmony Day Competition

Each year the Harmony Day Competition attracts thousands of entries and brings out the creativity and passion of school students motivated by a desire for a peaceful, harmonious and inclusive society. The Harmony Day Competitions aim to establish a platform for communicating the positive benefits of harmony, humanity, unity, and cooperation in society. If you are interested in entering this competition, information can be found here.

Alternatively, you can visit Ms Reinhold in the Art room at recess to get more information or discuss ideas for the poster section of the competition.  Entry details can be found in the link above or if you would like Ms Reinhold to enter for you, please have your entry to her before 10 April.

SunSmart Hat

A quick reminder that the new SunSmart hat, which replaces the old cap, will be compulsory from 4 March. The Uniform Shop has plenty of these items in stock. On another uniform matter, ties are now optional with the old school uniform during the uniform transition phase. Please note that this option only applies for students across the Junior Campus and not at the Secondary School.

Redlands Child Safeguarding Policy

We are pleased to share our new Redlands Child Safeguarding Policy, which replaces our previous Child Protection Policy.

The development of this policy follows the release of the new Redlands Statement of Commitment to Child Safeguarding last year, that highlighted our commitment to act in the best interests of students and promote their wellbeing and to provide safe and inclusive environments where our students feel they belong, are supported and can thrive.

You can view our new Child Safeguarding Policy here.
