Off to a Great Start
What a fabulous first full week we are having in Redlands House and Transition Gold. We are off to a flying start as becoming familiar with all the children’s interests and their unique personalities. We look forward to the year ahead as an opportunity to observe each child in great detail, helping them to develop their skills and competencies. The children are already developing wonderful friendships with new and old class mates.
Parking
Parking around the school can be challenging, especially around pick up time. We urge Transition Gold and Preschool parents to collect their child in a timely manner to allow other parents to access car spaces. To ease congestion and ensure the safety of our students, the Preparatory School use a car line that enables parents to collect their children from the underground car park from 2.45pm each day. We therefore ask Redlands House families to refrain from parking in the five minutes parking zone outside the Preschool from 2.45pm onwards. Families are welcome to park and collect their child from 2.15pm. If you arrive after 2.45pm, you will be not permitted to park in the car line zone.
Gong Xi Fa Cai
Redlands House will be celebrating Chinese New Year with a special celebration on the 13 February. We would love family and special friends to join us. This occasion will be celebrated in the garden from 9.00am until 10.30am. If you are able to assist, please contact Mrs Thomas and Ms Hamilton. They will be holding a planning meeting on Thursday 7 February at 2.45pm in the Transition Gold classroom.

Student Council
Last Wednesday, our Senior students started their Student Council Meetings. During this time, the children gather around the sand pit and discuss matters pertaining to Redlands House and their day. This week the discussion was based around why the children have a student council meeting. Each week the transcript of the meeting is available for families to view and revisit.
Year Group Parent Contact Lists
Year Group Parent Contact lists will be emailed to all Preschool families tomorrow (Friday). Please be reminded that these are strictly for school-based purposes and not for any aspect of commercial use.
Year/Class Parent Representatives
This year, class parents in Juniors, Seniors and Transition Gold will work more closely together to create greater community connection by organising events across the Year Group. If you are interested in being a class parent, the RPFA welcomes parents to volunteer for the following classes by emailing earlychildhood@redlands.nsw.edu.au:
