Jazz in the Garden
What’s a better way to kick off the year than with a “launch-of-season” musical event where you can lie back and enjoy some Jazz? That’s right, Jazz in the Garden is coming on 2 March – book now!
After a season off due to the Spring Fair, Jazz in the Garden is back bigger and better than before. This year, we’re excited to be including many more ensembles, including some from the Junior Campus!
Friends of Music are holding a sausage sizzle for the event, as well as a Yr 12 Bake Sale. When booking below, you can even pre-purchase your sausage sizzle for $3! It promises to be a wonderful afternoon of music and entertainment.

Percussion Ensemble
We are thrilled to announce that we are starting a Percussion Ensemble on our Senior Campus! The ensemble is open to all students of all abilities, from our most beginning to advanced students. In Senior Percussion Ensemble, students will focus on building core rhythmic and technical skills, and learning how to collaborate with both tuned and untuned percussion equipment in an ensemble setting. It promises to be a blast and highly engaging for all who join!
Senior Music Auditions
We have so many auditions due tomorrow! So many opportunities for both our newest performers to join our extension ensembles, as well as seasoned performers and composers to join in our upcoming competitions.
Make sure you don’t miss out – check out more for Senior Auditions on iLearn.

Friends of Music Meeting – Thursday 22 February
Our first Friends of Music meeting of the year is coming up! It’s a great opportunity to look at the year ahead. We invite anyone in our community, but particularly in a Junior School community, to come join and be part of what we do.
Prep Orientation Music Session
We were thrilled welcome a number of Prep parents to our music information session last Thursday. It was a wonderful opportunity for the community to meet the music staff, learn more about the music offerings available to Prep and Junior Students, and to connect with other parents. Please find a link to the slideshow here.
What’s on when? Cocurricular Ensembles in Wk 3
Please use the below timetables as a reference for when our Performance activities for cocurricular and extracurricular happenings will take place across both campuses.

Meet the Team: Senior Academic Music
As we start out the year, we’re going to do a ‘meet the team!’ focus across our campuses for Music.
To kick off, please meet our Senior Academic Team! Our new staff are so excited to help all students, and it doesn’t matter which teacher you have – we’re all available to help students whenever you need. We’re excited by the variety of expertise and knowledge our Senior team will bring to our curriculum Music students enrolled in elective music.

Here to help!
Keep your eye on Pulse and the MUSIC EVENTS page to ensure key dates are all on the family calendar and reach out to your campus Music Office if we can assist in any way.
