Join the Friends of Music!
Music is really thriving at Redlands, with over 512 students involved across the School, P-12 across Private Tuition, Ensembles and Performance Opportunities.
The Music Calendar is full of exciting events and opportunities, and we are grateful to the support from our Music families in helping us make things happen. The Friends of Music is a passionate group of parents and carers who help out with events, costumes, stocktaking, resources and general help as needed! Any help we get is invaluable.
We are in particular need of leadership in the space, with our amazing 2023 parent leadership team stepping down this year.
Those interested should contact the Friends of Music at redlandsfriendsofmusic@gmail.com.

MIP Parent Information Session: Year 4 2024
Yr 4 2024 parents and carers are invited to an information session about the Music Instrumental Program (MIP). The MIP program is a curriculum instrumental learning experience for all Yr 4 and 5 students, during which students learn an orchestral instrument with our team of dedicated Music Tutor specialists. Parents and carers will have now received a letter outlining the specifics of the program, and we encourage you to attend this information session where there will opportunities for questions. The slideshow will be shared with parents following the presentation.

K-6 Strings Concert
All String Ensembles on the Junior Campus are busily preparing for our annual Strings showcase in Week 5. Year 2 Strings, Prep Strings, Year 3 Strings, Training Strings and Junior Strings will all perform repertoire they have been learning throughout Semester 2, and there will even be a special guest performance from our elite Senior Strings, all the way from the Senior Campus! We warmly welcome parents and guests to attend this concert on Monday 6 November at 2pm in Dunnet Hall.

MIP Concert
There aren’t many performances you can go to where 225 students perform…but the MIP concert is one of them! Every student in Yrs 4 and 5 will showcase their MIP learning from throughout the year as they perform in their instrumental groups. We invite parents and guests to come along and witness the wonderful growth of our MIP musicians on Thursday 9 November at 2pm in Dunnet Hall.

Junior Campus Studio Concerts
The Junior Campus Studio Concerts this week have been amazing, and we still have plenty to go! Students are working hard to be ready for these performances. These lunchtime concerts offer a relaxed opportunity for students having private lessons at Redlands to share their journey with a supportive audience of family and friends. Please see below schedule for the Junior Campus Concerts. Parents and guests are welcome and asked to enter through the Junior School Reception area.
The Senior Campus Studio Concert Series will be held in Weeks 6 and 7.

2024 Repertoire Student Survey – from the Music Captains
We’re thrilled to announce the new Repertoire Suggestions Survey brought to you by the 2024 Music Captains for Senior Music students. They’ve been working hard to make sure student voice is included as part of how we shape our future performances. We are looking for student input for next year’s Senior Music Festival, Kaleidoscope, and other performances throughout year.
Music students can also find access to this survey on their iLearn Ensemble pages.
