Welcome Back

Welcome back to Term 4. I hope you all had an enjoyable holiday break. To our new families commencing at Redlands House this term, welcome and we look forward to your involvement within our Preschool program. Term 4 is a short and busy term. We have numerous concert rehearsals and transition to school activities for Seniors. Juniors also have a Sing-a-long with families and lots of Christmas craft, look out for lots of glitter.

Wednesday Lunch Orders for Cremorne Seniors

 For the remainder of Term 4 Redlands House Senior classes can order their lunch from the canteen on a Wednesday. Families will be able to order from a limited menu via the online ordering system. Orders can be made online using the Flexi Schools system.

Flexischools is a well-established organisation allowing you to easily place all your canteen orders online at any time.

  1. Simply go to www.flexischools.com.au and click ‘Register’ and enter your email address.
  2. You will be sent an email with further instructions on how to complete the registration.
  3. Fill in your details on the registration form and click submit.
  4. Add your children, select your school and their class.

Existing Flexischools users can simply ‘Add a Student’ and manage all students at multiple schools on the one account.

Once registered, you can start placing orders immediately. If you have any questions, please contact the Flexischools Customer Service Team on 1300 361 769, or you can contact them via their website.

As you can imagine, not all items available at the canteen are suitable to be transported to the Preschool. For this reason, we have a limited menu available. Please ensure all online orders are completed before the 9.00am daily cut-off.

Kindergarten Orientation

On Wednesday 18 and 25 October, children moving into Kindergarten at Redlands in 2024 will have the opportunity to visit and spend some time engaging in activities and experiences in the classrooms in the Prep School. Please bring children to preschool by 8.30am. They will be walked up to the Prep School with their class at 8.45am and returned back to the Preschool for morning tea. The children should wear mufti/ plain clothes on this day.

Pre-Kindergarten (TG) 2024 Orientation

On Wednesday 18 and 25 October, children moving into Pre-Kindergarten (TG) at Redlands in 2024 will have the opportunity to visit and spend some time engaging in activities and experiences in the Pre-Kindergarten (TG) classroom. If your child attends Redlands House on these days, they will be walked to this classroom from Preschool and returned afterwards. If your child doesn’t attend Redlands House on these days, please arrive at Prep Reception at 9.15am and we will show you to the room. Those children can be collected back at Prep Reception at 10.15am. Please wear plain/mufti clothes for this day.

Junior Parent Teacher Learning Discussions

Parent Teacher Interviews for families of Junior Students will be held in Week 3 of term, 23 October to 27 October. Interviews can be booked here. The code is asb6q. Bookings can be made from Monday 16 October at 9am to Friday 13 October at 9am.  If you’re unable to attend these interviews in person, we can arrange for the interview to be conducted via zoom.

Changes to Storypark

Recently we have been reflecting on our how we use Storypark for class communication. We are reviewing what information we send home, how often and the justification on how much time this can possibly take away from our precious time with the children. This term we will reduce the weekly updates about your child’s class and only report on special events. Later in the term, will we seek your feedback and conduct a survey to assess the way we can use Storypark best. If you have any questions or would like to provide feedback, please talk to your class teacher or Mrs Huon.

29 November – Seniors and Transition Gold Concert, 10am
5 December – Last day – Half day, 12 noon collection
