Year 11 Industry Day
Today all of year 11 had their valuable Industry Day experience where they had the opportunity to:
- Familiarise themselves with a workplace,
- Gain an understanding of the range of professional roles that exist within an organisation and how these are projected to change in the future,
- Learn about the ‘soft skills’ employers regard as important when recruiting, and
- Engage in networking with members of the organisation.

Charles Sturt | Making it in Media Workshop
22 September
We are inviting Year 11 and 12 students to an interactive workshop; Making it in Media.
Students will be welcomed by one of our distinguished Alumni, Edwina Bartholomew, a news presenter on the Seven Network’s breakfast television program Sunrise, and will then participate in a simulated media event, collaborating with students from other schools in our TV studio and creative hub – and experience working in the world of news, media, advertising, PR and content creation.
Parents and teachers are also welcome to watch what is created and see how students learn to work in a team environment and get hands on Industry experience.
Charles Sturt University has a strong reputation in the field of Communication, having produced some of Australia’s biggest names in media such as Hamish McDonald, Mel Doyle, Tara Brown and Edwina Bartholomew. Our Bachelor of Communication degree has been co-designed and is co-delivered with our distinguished Alumni and leading Industry professionals.

School of Business will be in its second year running a series of workshops for all students, especially those who are hoping to learn more about the entrepreneurial journey.
Bizfluencers is an exciting school holiday workshop program offered by the School of Business at Western Sydney University, targeted at high school students in Years 9–10. The program aims to connect aspiring Business Influencers (‘Bizfluencers’) with business leaders, researchers and practitioners in the 1PSQ Business Lab to explore the future of business.

AIE | Industry Experience Days
4 October
AIE’s Industry Experience Day is a great opportunity for students in Years 10, 11 and 12 to learn about the local and international game development, 3D animation and visual effects industries. Students will get the opportunity to learn about the different pathways to get into the industry, what should be in a portfolio and will be able to get creative in practical workshops using industry-standard 3D animation and game development tools. The sessions are run by industry professionals who have worked on some blockbuster games and films. Everything is provided for you to participate in the hands-on workshops and you will be using the same software that is used in the industry.

UNSW Explore Engineering for Yr 10 and Yr 11 students

During this exclusive overnight event, you’ll have the chance to fully immerse yourself in the life of a Campion College student. Our schedule includes time for sample lectures, thought-provoking discussions, socialising with our current students and fostering connections with fellow attendees. You’ll also have the opportunity to bond over shared meals, reside in one of our residential halls and gain firsthand insight into the unique academic and social aspects that set Campion College apart.
