AFL Wrap Up

Well done to all our Yr 5 and Yr 6 girls and the coaching staff for their involvement and enthusiasm over this term in their IPSHA AFL girls season. The two teams play their final match this week and we wish them the best of luck. It is worth noting that it was only due to ‘girl power’ that we were able to have two teams this season. A small number of girls recruited over 14 girls to play so we were able to enter into the competition.

Term 4 Sport Representative Pre-Season Trials and Training

With AFL finishing up this week this is a reminder that we are recommencing our Representative Summer Sport season on Saturday 16th September. This involves pre-season trials and training session that will run alongside our normal Wednesday sport program. For example, if your child is currently in a Non Rep Sport such as swimming each Wednesday but has elected Rep Basketball as their Term 4 Sport choice then they will continue with swimming this term each Wednesday but will be required on the Saturday to be allocated to a team.

Attendance is compulsory for those students who have nominated for these representative sports. For those girls who nominated girls-only basketball as their Term 4 Summer Sport, we will use the preseason to grade and allocate students in teams in preparation for the start of their Term 4 season.
