Redlands Parents and Friends
And another term is done! Safe travels to all who are going away on holiday during this long winter break. Wishing everyone fun times with family and friends over the next three weeks. Hope to see you on your return for Term 3 relaxed, happy and revitalised.
Second Hand Uniforms
We had another successful sale of second hand uniforms last Saturday, raising an additional $900 for the means-tested Redlands Foundation Scholarship Fund.
Gala Ball
Purchase tickets to this fantastic black tie event to be held at the Fullerton Hotel (formerly the Westin) on Sat 12 Aug. You don’t need to organise a table to attend! Just nominate a Year Group(s) you’d like to sit with and the Foundation will work their magic.

Walks on Tracks
Weekly guided walks around the northern Sydney area are organised by an RPFA volunteer. This is a great way to meet other Redlands parents and get in shape, plus a wonderful way to spend a morning discovering the many paths of the Sydney area.
The invitation for walks is open, so if you have friends or family who you think would like to come along, please feel free to bring them. Dogs are also welcome on most walks.
We will continue our Wednesday walks during the school holidays!

Book Club
The Redlands Book Club is a group of Redlands parents – past and present – who share a love of reading. New members are always welcome! The Book Club meets twice each school term to discuss a book, rotating among members’ homes. Occasionally, outings are also organised to events, movies or shows that are tied in with books, including annual attendance at the Sydney Writer’s festival in May. If you would like to join Book Club, or simply want to know more, please contact Monica or Sabiha.
We had a great discussion about The Familiars by Stacey Halls last week.
Our first book for next term will be The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley. The date for the meeting is to be confirmed – likely to be the first or second week in August in the evening. Until then, we wish everyone a great holiday break.
Parents Tennis
Join us for a series of tennis days at Neutral Bay Club!
Days will begin with a coffee at 10.30am and tennis commencing from 11am. A light lunch will be served from 12.30pm. You will have the choice of participating in either a Round Robin Doubles Competition or in an Adult Clinic with both beginner and intermediate sessions available. A prize will be awarded for the winner of the Round Robin competition and a Lucky Door prize will be awarded for the Adult Clinic. If you would like to come and play but do not have a racquet, the Club has racquets available to borrow.
