Year 10

Celebrating Yr 10’s Remarkable Exam Block Performance

Yr 10 are to be praised for their outstanding achievements during the recent exam block. Their remarkable commitment to preparation and planning for their subject assessments deserves special recognition, as it showcases their determination to reach academic excellence. Throughout the examination period, Yr 10 displayed a commendable level of focus and dedication, which undoubtedly will contribute to their success. Their proactive approach in organising their study materials and devising effective strategies highlights their maturity and eagerness to attain their academic goals. As they begin to receive their marks and feedback, it is crucial for Yr 10 to embrace this valuable input as a stepping stone towards improvement. Teachers’ feedback plays a pivotal role in the learning process, enabling students to gain insights into their strengths and areas for growth. By embracing this feedback constructively, Yr 10 can pave the way for continuous progress and development in the semester ahead.

Balmoral Burn – Humpty Dumpty Fundraiser.

The Humpty Dumpty Balmoral Burn is an annual community fun run held on the last weekend of May. Every year, participants ‘take to the Burn’ to conquer Awaba Street’s 420-metre incline – one of the steepest streets in Sydney. Event creator, Phil Kearns AM, came up with the idea of running up Awaba Street as a thank you to the Royal North Shore Hospital after his son Finn received emergency care for suspected meningococcal. Now in its 21st year, the Balmoral Burn provides an ongoing opportunity for Humpty supporters to empower hospitals and health services Australia-wide. Every dollar raised has a positive impact on the work Humpty is doing to help sick kids in hospitals.

This year, Redlands has three teams participating in Balmoral Burn to raise funds for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation. The goal is for each team to raise at least $250.00 with a goal of $1500.00 total for the fundraiser.

Our very own Yr 10 students, Annabel Hwang, Amynta Field, Tobe Cornelius, Liam Peterson and Max Perry will be participating in this year’s Balmoral Burn. To support Annabel, Amynta, Tobe, Liam and Max, donations, can be made via the following fundraising page.

Your support for Annabel, Amynta, Tobe, Liam and Max, in their efforts to conquer Awaba St, and raise funds for the Humpty Dumpty foundation, is greatly appreciated.
