CIS Hockey Trials

Congratulations to Mila, Daisy and Amelia who were selected and attend the CIS Hockey trials last week. Well done to Amelia Roy who was selected in the CIS team which will now compete at the NSW PSSA Championships in Tamworth next week.

Gymnastics Open Day

All families would have received an information package advertising the Gymnastics Open Day coming up. If you would like to know more and or attend the Open Day, please refer to the package that was emailed out to families. Cross Country Carnival

Under favourable conditions we were able to have our Cross Country Carnival at a new venue yesterday. We had a number of Year 3 students run their first Cross Country and are to be commended for their participation and enthusiasm. While races were run in grades, the use of the entry number system per athlete the data into age groups and when we did it was pleasing to see some very fast times across the board. Fastest time for each age group and race are as follows;

Under 8/9 Boys            9:16.28
Under 8/9 Girls             10:25.61
Under 10 Boys              9:16.53
Under 10 Girls               10:16.39
Under 11 Boys              8:45.37
Under 11 Girls               9:55.12
Under 12 Boys              8:30.88

HICES TEAM

Congratulations to the students announced at our Cross Country assembly yesterday on their selection in the 2023 Redlands Cross Country Team. Our team, made up of the top 5 finishers for both boys and girls in their respective age group (not the grades they ran in at the event), will now run at the HICES Carnival next week. Those students selected in the Redlands team will now be attending HICES Cross Country on Tuesday and parents would have received an information package for this event.

Rugby Representative Honours

Rugby is a sport that we have been growing in the Junior School and we are fortunate to have a number of students play both school Rugby and Club Rugby and balance both which is great. Three of these students Ripley Jackson, Max Humphries and Henry Whelan have all been selected in their respective age groups to represent NSJRU at the upcoming SJRU State Cup. We wish them the best of luck.

Representative Sport Student Absence

If students are absent on match day, parents are required to complete this online absence form. This will allow your responses to be passed on electronically to your child’s coach efficiently and at short notice.
