Year 8
End of Term Reflection and Assembly
As we finish what has been an action-packed term, students attended an assembly today and were given time to reflect on all that had happened and how they had contributed positively to the School.
All speakers highlighted the plethora of sporting activities and school-based carnivals, many of which have been in Note Days throughout the term.
There was a large focus on accomplishments in the Arts – the Addams Family Musical and Monday nights’ Battle of the Bands (affectionately referred to as ‘BOB’) were wonderful displays of the dedication and commitment of Year 8 students at Redlands.
There were also strong messages from both our School Chaplain, Ms Kirsten Philips who reflected on everyday leadership that is humble and kind. And from our Principal, Sean Corcoran on the importance of character in how you act when others (particularly authority figures) are not watching.
Battle of the Bands
Congratulations to all of the students in Yr 8 who performed in the Battle of the Bands on Monday night. It was a wonderful display of student confidence and talent as applied to classic Australian rock tracks.
