Isobel Anderson Awards

The Ballet and Dance Academy are thrilled for Dante Minassian who is through to the finals of the Isobel Anderson Awards, which is being held at the Everest Theatre this Sunday 26 March at 2.15pm

The Joan & Monica Halliday and Isobel Anderson Awards Finals are flagship events for world-leading dance organisation, the Royal Academy of Dance, and rank amongst the most prestigious ballet competitions in NSW. The event attracts eager and talented classical dancers across the state and highlights the rising stars of the artform.

In addition to the awards, we also have two Year 6 Redlands dancers, Sophia Moriarty and Cameron Lloyd, performing in BJ and Aeysha Rorke’s fantastic new Musical Theatre Production.

Come and support Sophia, Cameron and Dante at this prestigious event.

Hair Etiquette for Dance

We are delighted to see so many of our dancers coming to class keen to get their hair done for dance. With this in mind can we kindly remind you to pack the hair essentials.

For Ballet: please pack a ballet bun kit for classes. Your kit should include a hair brush or comb, snag-free hair ties/elastics, bun pins, bobby pins and hair nets (in the colour of your child’s hair).

For Other Genres:  To keep hair away from the face please pack a hair brush, snag-free hair ties/elastics and/or hair clips.

Academy staff will help our younger dancers with their hair.
