Mosman Young Citizen of the Year Award
Our Yr 12 Environment Captain, Marina Viese Vivaldi, was awarded the 2023 Mosman Young Citizen of the Year Award during Mosman Council’s Australia Day event a few weeks ago. She’s been involved with volunteer groups outside of Redlands including Vocal Rewind and Green Thumbs which is a testament to her leadership as Environment Captain at Redlands.

Week 7 Year Assembly Growth Awards
Congratulations to Kayla Carlson who received the HSC Growth Award and Poppy Justice who received the IB Growth Award at this week’s Year Assembly.
Kayla has been academically excelling well above the class average across all subjects in Year 12. Her Approaches to learning score has increased significantly since Yr 9 from a score of 72 in Year 9, to a score of above 90 in Year 12. Kayla has also made the effort to see the Career Advisers three times since the beginning of her senior studies. Kayla Is also well above the Year Group average with her participation in sports.
Poppy has participated in a significant amount of cocurricular activities – specifically the Arts. She has dedicated an extensive number of hours to cocurricular activities throughout their time at Redlands. Poppy has maintained an effort score of above 90 for her Approaches to Learning. Poppy is academically, well above the class average across all subjects in Year 11 and 12. Finally, Poppy, has seen the Career Advisers on many occasions since beginning her senior studies.

Autumn Fair
This Saturday is the long-awaited Autumn Fair which will be held in the Fahl Garden. A big thank you to all of our Yr 12 volunteers who will be assisting on Saturday. Special mention to Taylor Riddell and the Legacy Gift Fundraising Team who have been busy organising the Dunk Tank Legacy Gift Fundraiser which will be held throughout the day on Saturday.
Prefects Afternoon Tea Photos
The Year 12 Senior Leadership hosted an Afternoon Tea with Captains from other schools across Sydney in the Gym including Monte Sant Angelo, Knox Grammar School, Wenona and Queenwood.
It was a lovely to see the Year 12 students come together and collaborate to discuss key areas of interest, such as academic studies, future careers, sport and leadership amongst other things.
Summer Sports Results
On Saturday, there were a number of Year 12 students involved in finals matches to end the Summer Sport season.
Congratulations to the following students:
Bronte Backhouse, Kayla Carlson and Lilly Attard who were part of the 1sts Touch Football Team which won the ISA Grand Final match against Kinross Wolaroi.
Emilie Bessell, Maddie D’Almeida and Taylor Riddell who were part of the Girls 1sts V Basketball team and came runners up in their Grand Final match against Barker. The girls fought hard right up until the last second of the game.
Jack Forrest, Ethan McFarlane, Angus McLachlan, Riley Parton, Ellery Prescott, Xavier Reid, Oliver Talbot, and James Whelan, who were part of the 3rds Touch Football team which won their match against Oakhill College.
