TONIGHT! Friends of Music Gathering!

Friends AND Music!? Where else would you be tonight! At 7pm this evening, we can’t wait to kick off our ‘Friends’ year officially, and dream together for what lies ahead as we build this great community together. Our whole school community is invited to join us in the Edwards auditorium at 7pm. Light refreshments provided.

Battle of the Bands & Unplugged Acts – Auditions close 3 March

Our first competition in the series is Battle of the Bands on Senior Campus, which is set to take place on Monday 3 April.  Not just for bands – this is an incredible opportunity for our talented contemporary solo and duo acts and singer-songwriters to showcase their skills and compete against their peers in a thrilling ‘gig format’. The theme for all entries this year is ‘Australian Music’! Which epic OZRock tunes can you bring to the table? 

Red Factor 2023

Do you have the Red Factor?! Our annual Junior Campus talent show is back for 2023 and we can’t wait to see a new year of exciting acts. Please complete the RED FACTOR AUDITION FORM below if your child/ren are auditioning in 2023.  These Audition forms are due no later than 4pm on Monday 27 February 2023. Please note that students performing in a group need to complete one form per group member. One form for the whole group is insufficient and cannot be processed. Prep Music Orientation Session

We are hosting an information session for Prep parents this term as a chance for our community to learn more about the music happenings and offerings on the Junior Campus. We warmly invite you to the session on Thursday 16 March 8.30am in the Prep Music Room (Level 2 – above Prep Reception).

Junior Voices Auditions

Whilst the rest of our extension ensemble auditions have come to a wrap for this session, auditions for Junior Voices will commence next week. Amazingly, we have received overwhelming expressions of interest with over 70% of registered Junior Choir students interested in auditioning for Junior Voices. Thank you to all the students who have registered. We look forward to hearing you shine in your auditions next week!

Extracurricular Music

Private Tuition Enrolments 

Although the enrolments for private instrumental lessons have now closed for Term 1, we welcome new enrolments and lessons will commence at the beginning of Term 2.  

Rock Bands

Thank you to all those who have expressed interest in the Redlands Rock Band program! This particular stream, whilst exciting, does present us with unique challenges to formation. As stated in the EOI form, each band awaits its launch until a vocalist, guitarist, keyboard player, bass player and drummer of the same learning stage have all expressed interest, and then we navigate the challenges of school timetables to find a workable session time for this new band.  If you have expressed interest in the Rock Band program, rest assured that your application has been noted and we will be in contact as soon as we have found you some peers on complimentary instruments.

AMEB Examinations

The Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) exam registrations are now open and exams will take place between 26 August and 23 September.  The Enrolment Form is here and will be available on Redlands Pulse.
