Spreading the Love for a Worthy Cause

Yr 12 Leaders: Joe Griffiths, Charlotte Scamps, Simone Franceschi, Taylor Riddell
Our Yr 12 Service Captains embraced the spirit of love and compassion this Valentine’s Day by organising a fundraiser to support the victims and communities impacted by the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria. The Service Captains sold roses and flowers to students and staff, raising just over $1000 for the Emergency Action Alliance, an organisation dedicated to providing relief to those affected by the earthquakes.
We are proud of our students for taking the initiative to contribute to such a worthy cause and demonstrating leadership and empathy in their actions. We would like to thank everyone who participated in the fundraiser and contributed to this important cause, including students, staff and our ever supportive Service Coordinator, Ms Rachael Riley. She and the students were grateful and excited by the community’s support.

Yr 12 Learn and Celebrate Together
Last night’s Year 12 HSC and IB Evening was very well attended and saw Redlands staff, students and parents gather for a beautiful evening on the Fahl Garden. Our Stage 6 Academic Deans, Ms Benjamin and Mr Taylor, provided specific detail on their specific programs, encouraging and inspiring students and parents. The Presentation to students and parents/carers delivered by the Academic Deans can be found here.
We are very proud of how our 2023 Year 12 cohort have commenced the year – they are collaborating, learning diligently, seeking support and embracing challenge as essential to growth. Year Advisor and Assistant Year Advisor, Mr Walker and Ms Martin, flitted around the Fahl chatting to parents and students and affirming the tremendous efforts of their Year Group. A significant number of staff, including our Principal Mr Corcoran, the Secondary School Leadership Team, members of the pastoral and subject coordinators team, tutors and teachers attended the event. We are all excited to be working together in support of Year 12 – they are an awesome Year Group and on their way to being life ready.
