Online Safety
The Online Safety Parent Information session on Monday evening was a great success with over 130 parents/carers joining via Zoom to learn more about the complexities and tips for parenting in the digital age. Please use the link below to access a recording of the presentation. The recording will be available for 2 weeks.
On Thursday and Friday, Year 7-12 students will be engaging in Online Safety workshops with ySafe. The topics covered for Yr 11 students are:
- Digital footprint and employability
- Respectful relationships and connecting safely
- Online wellbeing and self-regulation
On Monday 27 February, Yr 11 students will also be participating in a workshop delivered by Lynda Hart: Commissioners Anti-Violence package and PLO: Social Media/Relationships/Driving. Students will attend during their P6 classes during school hours.
Parents/Caregivers have access to the Redlands Cyber Safety Hub where you can get advice on the latest apps and games, learn more about online safety topics, get help with social media incidents and more. Access the hub here.
Yr 7 Movie Night and Bake Sale Recap
Last week, Yr 11 worked extremely hard to raise funds for the WWF. These efforts began in Yr 10 Term 3 when this cohort became inspired to support the Class of 2022 in their effort to support environmental causes. With students at Winter School last year and the many events in Term 4, these plans were postponed to the start of this year. Students began implementing and adjusting their plans immediately in Wk 1 to make the most impactful experience for Yr 7 and for fundraising. The total amount raised through movie ticket sales and the bake sale totalled over $1200.
Thank you and well done to all Yr 11 students who contributed to this incredible cause. A special thank you to the students who helped plan and organise this event and enjoyed the movie with Yr 7 to the end on Friday to ensure it ran smoothly: Antonia Morgan, Sophia Rolon, Eva Osborn, Daisy Thomas, Winter Penney, Anabelle Cullen, Alfie Leach, Alisha Tang, Ashley Stapleton, Jocelyn Wang, Chloe Moore and Lara Farrell.
