Term Overview

We have a short, but extremely busy, term for Yr 10, both academically and in terms of cocurricular activities. Some forward planning and guidance with your child about scheduling, time management and maintaining a good balance between study, social life, rest and exercise, should maintain their well-being throughout the next seven weeks. Examinations commence on the week starting Monday 5 November concluding with the Harbour Cruise on the Friday evening, followed by camp the next week. Many students will be occupied with rehearsals for the Ballet and Dance Concert and Speech Night performances in Weeks 6 and 7, as well as Musical audition call-backs and rehearsals. To wrap up a busy term, Yr 10 will be involved in Australian Business Week, a week-long project-based learning experience run through our Social Science Department, the week beginning 26 November. It is an exciting term, but one that will require stamina and good time management and organisational skills. Tutors are currently supporting students with their examination preparation in Tutor Time. Please be mindful of your child’s busy schedule and check-in with them throughout the term.
