Representative Summer Sport Wrapping Up
Our mixed Basketball, Tennis, and Touch Football teams finished up their season last Saturday. Congratulations to all students on their participation and enthusiasm over the season. Thank you to the parents and carers who fed, watered and transported the children all over Sydney each Saturday morning to play their Representative Sport. Our Touch Football A team ended up undefeated for the second part of their season. Our Girls Basketball teams have one more round left this Saturday so we wish them luck as they play Kincoppal, Meriden and PLC.
For our students who participate in our Non-Representative program it has been great to get around and see you in action on Wednesday. From our surfers to our stand-up paddle boarders to our fitness students back at school, your enthusiasm is great to see. We even had some tennis players in our Non-Rep program step up and help out our Representative teams when we were short.
Return of Basketball Touch Football Singlets
As you are aware, these uniforms are owned by the School and hired out to families each season. A reminder was sent out to the families of mixed Basketball and Touch Football to return theirs by Monday 21 November. There are currently still some outstanding singlets to be returned. If they are not returned by Friday November 25 the replacement cost will be billed to your school account.
Those students in our Girls Basketball teams who have their final match this weekend can return theirs to the Sport Office on Monday 28 November. Please do not leave them with class teachers or at Junior Reception.

2023 Athletics Carnival
As you would be aware in 2023 our Athletics Carnival has been moved from Term 2 to Term 1 due to venues being unavailable due to World Cup being hosted in Sydney. In preparation for our School Carnival we will be running Field Event Pre Trials for the following events;
Shot Put
Long Jump
High Jump
Students will undertake a unit of Athletics in their PE lesson in Term 1 2023, reinforcing what was taught this year in High, Shot, Long and Discus with the only difference being the finalists for the carnival are not selected in PE lessons as they were this year.
The exciting element about these pre trials is that by devoting specific time to these individual events, students will have multiple attempts, but also have their 3 or 4 attempts measured on the day providing feedback.
If you would like your child to trial in the following field events, you will have to register them. Once registrations close that is final, no late entries are accepted. Reminders for registration will come through Note Day, PE classes, class teachers and through Pulse.
Discus and Turbo Jav will be held on the day of the carnival and students can register in person on the day at this event using their entrant number.
You may enter one or all of these trials in your correct age group on the correct day.
Not everyone who attends these trials will progress through to the finals, but you will earn colour House points for trialing regardless of result.
For age groups it is the age your child turns this calendar year (For example if you child turns 10 next year (2023) they will compete in the Under 10s age group). The age group is determined by the year they turn in the year 2023.
