Well Done Yr 12 Presenters! 

Yr 12 lead their first Yr 9, 10 and 12 Assembly on Tuesday. Well done to the following presenters who spoke with warmth and confidence at the assembly:

HSC Data Story Meetings

Students have been booking in with Mrs Benjamin for a Data Story Meeting; in these conversations, students are encouraged to reflect on their successes in Year 11, as well as areas for development. Mrs Benjamin talks through their Year 11 data with them in terms of academic scores and their cocurricular and sport involvement. Students can also talk through study timetables and manage their schedules; Mrs Benjamin encourages them to look forward to assessments and back on revision as a mantra for Year 12! Students are encouraged to book a time with Mrs Benjamin as soon as they can!

Redlands Ballet and Dance Academy Concert

Coming up on Thursday 17 November and Friday 18 November is the Redlands Ballet and Dance Academy Concert.

Redlands Ballet and Dance Academy Junior Performance (Including Senior Students)

Act 1: Pictures at an Exhibition

A group of Redlands Students visit Gallery NSW and become immersed in the paintings. Curated by Gilly Revie and choreographed by Academy Teachers for Kindergarten – Yr 6 students, this piece will bring Redlands Dance and Art together through the collaboration of the Junior Visual Arts cocurricular syllabus.

Act 2: Twelve Days of Christmas.

Presented by our Seniors, and including our Junior Ballet Performers, curated by Gilly Revie with a mixture of works choreographed by Academy Teachers and repertoire based on dances from famous ballets such as La Fille Mal Gardee, Nutcracker and Swan Lake..

Redlands Ballet and Dance Academy Senior Performance

Act 1: Grand Défilé (literally translated as Big Parade)

Polonaise and Mazurka arranged and choreographed by Kim Traynor presenting all senior ballet dancers. Includes a demonstration of vocational RAD syllabus.

Act 2: Dancing Through Time

Takes you on a journey of dance from Folk to Hip Hop, and will include works by Dance Curriculum and Senior Academy Students.

Act 3: The evening closes with Twelve Days of Christmas presented by our Seniors, and including our Junior Ballet Performers, curated by Gilly Revie with a mixture of works choreographed by Academy Teachers and repertoire based on dances from famous ballets such as La Fille Mal Gardee, Nutcracker and Swan Lake.

Attendance

As students have begun their Yr 12 coursework, on time attendance to school is now more important than ever. Additionally, medical appointments should be scheduled outside of school hours. Medical certificates should be forwarded to YAs and Secondary School Absences. Also, a reminder that all HSC students are required to attend school from 8:20 – 3:20, even if they have a study period in period 1 or period 6. Yr 12 are not permitted to come in late or leave school early. Correspondence regarding lunch time privileges will be communicated in the coming weeks. 

Uniform

A reminder that all students must get changed into their full school uniform if they have Sports training in the morning before school and are not permitted to wear their sports uniform for the duration of the day.
