Year 11
2023 Tutor Group Visions
In this week’s Yr 11 Pastoral Team Meeting, Yr 11 Tutors gathered to discuss the visions for their Tutor Groups in 2023. Below are the thoughtful visions which were established by each of the Yr 11 Tutors for 2023:
Ms Lily Peschardt – “For Dumolo Blue to focus beyond themselves and participate in all the opportunities Redlands has to offer such as service opportunities or mentoring younger students – throw yourself into the life of the school!”
Mr Jimmy Tod-Hill – “Roseby White’s vision is to embrace their strengths, acknowledge their weaknesses and work to bridge the gaps between who they are now and the best they can be in 2023…”, all while supporting their peers to do the same.”
Ms Jessica Lasky – “For McDouall Blue to respect others, listen to pastoral content and look outwards.”
Mr Mike Warrell – “For Dumolo Red to be confident and self-aware young people who have developed the skills to effectively manage themselves and their relationships with their peers”
Ms Victoria Mukherjee – “For Cowper Blue to be active listeners, active leaders and be confident as Year 12 leaders.”
Mr Fabian Byrne – “For McDouall Blue to have increased self-awareness, backfill gaps in their academic learning and reinforce the building blocks of the subject course they undertake in 2023.”
Ms Ellie Dalton – “For Roseby Red to look out for each other and help one another through the challenges of the year and enjoy their final year”
Mr Yuji Okawa – “For Cowper Yellow to take up the challenge and make a positive impact on the school community and beyond!”
With the 2023 visions in mind, a big thank you to all the Yr 11 Tutors who have done an exceptional job this year looking after the wellbeing of each student in their Tutor Group.
ICAS Competition.
The 2022 International Competition and Assessment for Schools (ICAS) in Science is undertaken by over 400,000 students across Australia and the region and is a rigorous test of scientific thinking. Participation in the competition provides our students with excellent examination practice and an opportunity to see how they fare in competition with students of their own age from across the country. Well done to Matthew Fry for receiving a Credit in the Chemistry competition.
Student Achievement
Well done to Jamieson Houchell who was awarded a pass with Honours in Practice of Music, Seventh Grade, in the subject of Trombone Repertoire.
