Friends of Music AGM | Tonight!
We are looking forward to welcoming our friends and supporters to the Edwards Auditorium on Senior Campus from 7pm for our Friends of Music Annual General Meeting. All interested members of our Redlands community are heartily invited to join us, and we would be delighted to see representation from all sections, as we dream for a wonderful 2023 and beyond in Redlands Music.
News about our News!
We’ve decided to explore a change of format within our weekly Music Note Day update. We hope to continue to develop the Junior and Senior Campus Pulse as the home for key departmental information and news updates as they happen across the term, so Note Day itself presents a wonderful opportunity to hear from ALL our Music Educators and Leaders across our P-12 department each week.
For the rest of 2022, we will trial our Music Note Day being divided into Curricular, Cocurricular & Extracurricular sections – with pertinent updates regarding Prep, Junior and Secondary Schools as relevant. We welcome feedback from our community on the readability and accessibility of this information, and I would like to thank our classroom teachers and departmental leaders in advance for their contributions from time to time.
Wishing our community a wonderful Week 2 to come!

Years 7-10 Theory, Aural & Musicology Exam Support
In addition to support from your class teacher directly, a reminder that the Music Study Centre is open at 7.30am Monday & 3.30pm Friday each week to offer any additional help you may need as you prepare for your final assessments in Music. We are cheering for all our students as they consolidate the big ideas they’ve been exploring in 2022 and wrap up this great year of learning ahead of the coming examination periods.

BAND & SMALL ENSEMBLE PROGRAMS
Manly Jazz
On the first weekend of holidays, the students of the Jazz Program came together to celebrate music at the Manly International Jazz Festival. Over the course of a somewhat rainy day, the members of the Stage bands, Jazz Combo and the Jazz Vocal Ensemble performed their favourite tunes to the public in one of the world’s great beaches. This was Redlands’ first year of involvement at the Festival, and our second public performance since the lockdowns of the past few years. Thank you to the students and families for making this day possible. We can’t wait until next year!
