Week 2 Prep Wellbeing Day

A Message from Mrs Clinton, Dean of Students

We are all looking forward to the upcoming Prep Wellbeing Day to be held on Thursday 20 October in Week 2. Our K-2 students will participate in a variety of activities including a Health Hustle, team building games with our PE staff, dance workshops, attend a cooking demonstration with resident Chef Joel and a science performance by the Jollybops.

It will be a day filled with fun, music, movement, sport, learning new skills and raising awareness about the importance of caring for others in our community.

Our Yr 11 students and Yr 6 Wellbeing leaders will help run the lunchtime fundraising events, so we encourage everyone to bring at least 5 gold coins and participate in one or more of the following activities: ice-cream bar, freshly made tacos – cooked by Chef Joel Squires, outdoor art creations and a student/teacher Dance Craze Competition!

Looking forward to a wonderful Wellbeing Day and seeing the Redlands community spirit in action as we raise funds for Bear Cottage.

*Students to wear sports uniform

*Bring your gold coins for the lunchtime fundraiser activities. These will be collected in the morning by class teachers. Students can bring 1 or more gold coins.

*All funds raised will be donated to Bear Cottage, a charity close to the hearts of us here at Redlands.

Term 4 Wellbeing Lunchtime Activities

Term 4 wellbeing lunchtime activities will recommence next term for our K-2 students. We had great success last term with students enjoying the additional activities that were on offer. This term, Ms Fiebiger will be the staff member overseeing activities and most importantly, assisting the student led lunchtime initiatives. Please discuss the options below with your child and encourage them to pop in to one or more of the activities on offer.

Library Club: Students will have the opportunity to come to the library on their allocated day, where they can read books or play some board games with our Yr 2 Library Leaders. Our Leaders will also happily read picture books with the Kindergarten and Yr 1 students, if they would like a buddy.

Friendship Club: Everyone is welcome to join our Friendship Club running Monday to Friday. It is a great place to do some drawing, play games and make some new friends. Our Friendship Club is supported by some of our wonderful Yr 6 students who are always happy to help.

Yr 2 Pokémon Club: This club gives our Yr 2 students the opportunity to share their passion for Pokémon cards with their friends and trade cards in a supportive environment.
