Junior Sport
Winter Season Complete
We have now come to the official end of our 2022 Winter Sport Season with our Girls AFL team having their final match on Saturday as the rest of the Representative Sport students had their first pre-season training. The girls enjoyed themselves immensely and special thanks to their coaches for the work behind the scenes. A few wash outs, a few losses and four wins saw the girls improve each week.
Pre-Season Summer Sport Trials
Well done to all those students who participated in Touch Football, Tennis and Basketball trials and training last Saturday in beautiful conditions. These continue this week with some Basketball teams having matches against other schools. Please refer to the quick links on Redlands Sport pages on Pulse for times and details.
Basketball and Touch Football singlets for new students joining these sports were distributed on Monday and the hire charge ($10) will be added to your account. Students are only required to wear these on match day on the Saturday, sports uniform for training is fine. Tennis uniforms can be purchased from the school unform shop ahead of Round 1 next term.
Non-Rep and Rep Summer Sport Start Date
Please refer to the Junior School Sport Calendar on Pulse.

Junior School Sport Pulse Student Challenge
With the new Pulse, there is significant scope and flexibility in terms of content, feedback, push notifications. The new Pulse is aimed at students as well as parents. I spoke with all Junior School students at assembly recently and set them a challenge for them to ‘beat parents’ and clock up more visits to the pages on Junior School Sport. Not only will this enable them to know what they need, where they need to be and what time but this will also alleviate the stress for you having to navigate multiple pages for siblings etc. By encouraging your child to be responsible for their own School Sport, they will take an active role in managing their time which will be of benefit to you.
It would appreciated if you can assist with this ‘challenge’ in the coming weeks as both they and you prepare for the start of Summer Sport in Week 1 of Term 4.
