Blackmores Running Festival

Redlands will participate in the Blackmores Running Festival on 18 September to raise money for Beyond Blue. Every $48 ensures a phone call, email, or webchat is answered. With three million people in Australia living with anxiety and depression and growing demand for Beyond Blue’s services, we’re running this year to raise vital funds and mental health awareness.

The run is fun for everyone, with a distance for beginners and experienced runners. Choose from the Blackmores Sydney Marathon, Blackmores Half Marathon, 10km Blackmores Bridge Run or 3.5km Blackmores Family Fun Run for a truly unforgettable experience. A challenging and memorable run, with 3 of the 4 distances finishing at the Sydney Opera House.

Please help us to support their work this September by joining our team and donating:

Greenlands Week

Next week, we will be holding the Redlands annual Greenlands Week, in which we will be focussing on sustainability and looking after our environment. This year, we are particularly focussing on our local environment, as whilst Australia has some of the world’s most incredible flora and fauna, we also have the highest extinction rate in the world. As Environment Captains for 2022, Jacob and I have decided to raise awareness and funds for the WWF’s Northern Rivers Wildlife Hospital, an important project to ensure that the animals affected by bushfires, floods and deforestation are able to access lifesaving specialist medical services. To raise funds, we will be raffling off two great prizes – a koala encounter and a giraffe encounter at Taronga Zoo for 4 people each! Tickets will be available throughout next week.

There will also be a bake sale held on Friday lunch, so come along, enjoy some baked goods and support a worthy cause!
