Year 12

Mental Health Run

Thank you to Emma Woodward for organising and managing our Redlands team of over 50 students who took part in the Blackmore’s Bridge Run. There was a great sense of camaraderie as we adorned our bright pink team colours and ran across Sydney Harbour Bridge together. Thank you also to Mr Gray and Mr Corcoran for joining us and clocking very impressive times. It was a proud moment when the commentator on a loud speaker asked the students which school they were from and which Year Group they were in. When they said ‘Year 12’ he looked shocked and asked ‘but don’t you have your exams coming up?’ One student replied ‘Yes, but this is important to us.’ The commentator then said ‘well I bet your Head of School isn’t here’ to which they all pointed to Mr Corcoran limbering up for the 10km run. A great Redlands moment.

Yr 10 Talk

Thank you Tim Goerner, Elizabeth Smith and Liam Woolsey for giving up their time to talk with Yr 10 about respect and support. Their personal stories and ability to gain traction with Yr 10 students who are discovering their own identities and sense of efficacy was very much appreciated.

Class of 2018

To see our Year Group finish their final days of school with the same level of class they’ve shown throughout their time here has been an absolute privilege. Right up to the end, they have continued to volunteer, assist and support our community. It has been wonderful to see them take time each day to film a funny moment, have a laugh and pull together for one last charity drive. They truly are the ‘class’ of 2018.
